Over the course of the last several months, maybe even a year, I've been struck with how much our thoughts effect or attitude and behavior. Have you every really thought about that? In the Slight Edge the author talks about how easy it is to do certain things like work out or read a personal development book but also how easy it is not to do those same things. How easy it is to have an extra dessert or chew out the kids for leaving their shoes lying around. We choose almost everything we do in our lives and we especially choose our thoughts and actions. So, do I choose to act or react? Do I choose to look for the good in a "bad" situation or do I let the negative thoughts overtake me?
One of my very best friends spent almost an entire month just looking for miracles in her everyday life and it is simply amazing at the mind shift she had and everyone around her had! So...I decided to try the same thing. I started speaking about miracles and looking for miracles. I started spotting things like the sunrise and how incredibly beautiful it was and claimed it as a miracle. I spotted a rainbow..miracle. Great parking spot...miracle. Laughter with the kids...miracle. You get the point.
Miracles are all around us if we will only stop to spot them and claim them. Go find some miracles, friends.
